The Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) department manages the City's planning and development activity.

We work to:

  • Create and protect affordable housing
  • Support local businesses from start to success
  • Help people find and keep good jobs
  • Plan how the City uses its land
  • Make sure buildings are safe and will last
  • Make sure we grow in a way that benefits all residents and businesses
